Bug,
Happy 8th Birthday! What a wonderful day we have had!!! The Splash Pad and out for lunch with our most favorite Baday, special birthday dinner and cookies and all that on top of a sweet party this past weekend with your Popo and Baday I can’t even begin to tell
you how quickly this birthday has come and how thankful I am to see it! When we
heard of your diagnosis we did vast amounts of research and learned that many
little ones don’t make it to their 8th birthday because of the
seizure disorder or because the medical treatments are just SO intense. Here
you are, our little miracle. You’ve made it to 8!!! We are beyond grateful for
the gift of your life! You are the perfect picture of love, of a fighter, of
joy unspeakable, of laughter, of acceptance…you embody all of those
characteristics! Your daddy and I are beyond grateful that our great big God
chose us to be your momma and daddy! What a priceless treasure to be given. He
trusted us enough with your sweet life. Your daily journey is harder than most
individuals lifetimes….and through it all you can still offer up a smile. You wake up, smile and teach us something new every single day!
You smile the instant a camera comes out…and that cracks us
up! You show off all of the sounds you can make in a matter of 60 seconds, you
find it hilarious to laugh while eating oatmeal and getting it all over the
place, you cry (which is so sweet) when you see pictures of those you love not understanding why they aren’t here at that exact
moment, you LOVE watching movies of yourself, you cuddle with your little
sister Doo and love to be entertained by her, you are sweet and gentle with
Bee…we’ll see how long that lasts. ;) My heart is overwhelmed every single
night that I get that last goodnight hug and kiss…that I’m your momma.
I’m praying that your next 8 years are filled with more good
days than bad and that we relish them! Today is forever one of my most favorite days--because YOU were born. I’m so grateful that you are mine.
Trusting Jesus with your precious life has taught me more than I ever thought I
was capable. Thank you, my Bug, for being exactly who you are!
Love,
Momma
